All Things Work Together Part – 5

Romans 8:28——We know that all things work together for good for those who love God, who are called according to his purpose.

God has a purpose in our life but for that to come to pass we have to keep God’s commandments. Every time we make a decision to disobey God, we stray from His purpose. If we continually walk in disobedience, we will never be able to discover our purpose.

Romans 8:29——For those whom He foreknew He also predestined to be conformed to the image of his Son, in order that He might be the firstborn within a large family.

Within the chrysalis, the old body parts of the caterpillar undergo a remarkable transformation, called ‘metamorphosis,’ to become the beautiful parts that make up the butterfly that will emerge.

Similarly, when we decide to conform to the image and likeness of Jesus, our character gradually undergoes a change. We begin to obey God’s Word and act accordingly, and thus imitate Jesus in our behaviour, though and actions.  In the midst of our suffering, we are full of joy and ever willing to help others.

A mother goes through indescribable labour pain to give birth to her child. And she undergoes great hardships to care for her young one. Yet she is full of joy and willing to suffer for the sake of her children.

Jesus was not interested in comforts for Himself. He lived His life for those around Him.  Jesus did not come to live for Himself but to give His life up for others. When we make Jesus our Lord we are servants by choice willing to follow the Father with whatever He says.

Jesus trusted His Father throughout His life on earth, especially in the midst of His agony, torment and crucifixion. Like Jesus, we can also develop our character if we trust and follow God through the storm.

What is predestined is not who will be in or out, but what will happen to all who are in. They will eventually be conformed to the image of Jesus Christ and glorified. God predestines the consequence of the choice to be in Christ or not, but He doesn’t predestine the choice itself.
Scripture is clear that God wants every person to put their trust in His Son, and through his, Spirit God empowers us toward this end.  Make up your mind to be “IN”

Man says…….. Show me and I will trust you.

GOD says……….. Trust Me and I will show you.
