Facing the Giants of Life Part – 2

Exodus 3:16-17 —— Go and gather the elders of Israel together, and say to them, ‘The Lord God of your fathers, the God of Abraham, of Isaac, and of Jacob, appeared to me, saying, “I have surely visited you and seen what is done to you in Egypt;  and I have said I will bring you up out of the affliction of Egypt to the land of the Canaanites and the Hittites and the Amorites and the Perizzites and the Hivites and the Jebusites, to a land flowing with milk and honey.”’

No matter what we are faced with, we can be delivered. However, we need to be aware of God’s Promises of deliverance and to believe and act on it.

God saw the suffering of the Israelites. He was their Father, He felt their pains, and as their loving and caring Father, He wanted just the best for His children.

The Israelites were oppressed by the Egyptians, but because God loved His people He promised to deliver them.

Despite the difference in years, the Promise of deliverance is still the same today. Today God is saying to us that He wants to deliver us from the burdens of our “Egyptians” that are oppressing us daily.

What are our “Egyptians”?

Is it our pride, our self-centredness, our partners, our debt, our addiction or is it our lack of spiritual growth? Whatever is our “Egyptian”, God will deliver us. God will make a way for us, where there seems to be no way, and He will open doors that seem closed to us.

Will you allow God to make a difference in your life?

Are we going to face our troubles like the Israelites and accept defeat? Or are we going to face them with faith?

Are we willing to build up our Faith through the Word of God?

God has given us the powerful tools of praise and thanksgiving. Praise and thanksgiving, not only strengthens us but gives us the wisdom to overcome the crisis we are facing. We must trust and obey God and focus on the Word of God.

God is saying to us, as long as we live tribulations will be part of our life, but we have to be of good cheer for God has overcome this world for us. Jesus overcame the world by submitting to the will of His Father. What are you waiting for?

Faith is trusting God even when you don’t even understand His plan.
