Jesus had a particular kind of attitude. Getting your heart fixed on God is an attitude we have to cultivate and develop it. No matter what happens, no matter how uncomfortable, no matter the cost I am not going to be afraid, I will be fixed on God. People who’s heart is fixed on God are victorious and conquerors.
He is new who justifies Me; Who will contend with Me? Let us stand together. Who is my adversary? Let him come near Me. Surely the Lord God will help Me; Who is he who will condemn Me? Indeed they will all grow old like a garment; The moth will eat them up.
Now Jesus understood that this was the Father’s will. So in other words Jesus is saying who is going to conquer me? who is thinking he can control me? He knows His Father is with Him and He will help Him, with this kind of attitude Jesus embraced the cross because as long as He is with the Father and he with the Father.
How do we look at the battles of our life? What kind of attitude do we have?
The moment the things begin to move in the negative direction our attitude begins to change, because our heart is not fixed on God. Jesus went through depression in the Garden of Gethsemane, He began to pray, he fell forward, three times He came and He saw the disciples sleeping. Jesus was really broken and shattered, He had so much pressure on His mind.
He knew one thing that the Lord God was with Him and he will help him. He told his disciples the prince of darkness is coming he has nothing in me. In other words Jesus is saying I have fixed my heart on God even the thought that he is trying to put I am not ready to accept it. Jesus has put a shield against it, when Jesus went through this journey He knew the father was with him. Therefore there was no more crying Jesus went with the attitude of a victorious warrior and came out victorious.
