Psalms 8:2——Out of the mouth of babes and nursing infants, You have ordained strength, Because of Your enemies, That You may silence the enemy and the avenger.
When we see the enemy come against us, in faith we must open our mouth and speak praises to God that this enemy has been paralysed and captured. We cannot see this through our natural eyes but through the Word of God which is our spiritual mirror, we know that this is true and possible.
We also cannot see the cellular networks that connect our phones, but when our mobile phones ring and we get connected to the next person via that call we know that the network exists. Similarly the Bible shows us the invisible realm and how our words can paralyse the enemy. The enemy is not flesh and blood but spiritual.
Psalms 97:5 —- The Mountains melt like wax at the presence of the Lord, At the presence of the Lord of the whole earth.
Wax is hard but that same wax when heated becomes liquid. Likewise, the enemy who appears to be strong and formidable – when we confront that enemy with tools of heaven (Prayer) it will cause the enemy to melt like wax. When we understand this and believe and practise this we do not have to wait to see the result, because we already know that the result is victory in the name of Jesus.
Philippians 4:4-5 ——- Rejoice in the Lord always. Again I will say, rejoice! Let your gentleness be known to all men. The Lord is at hand.
When there is a war in our life and everything goes berserk, it is difficult to be gentle. But we can experience the presence of the Lord in our lives only if we keep rejoicing in the midst of our trials and problems. If we believe the Holy Scriptures we will receive joy and through that joy become gentle.
For comparison when we watch a live sport match we do not know the result so we worry and wonder about the end result but when we watch the highlights having known the results we are no longer restless. Similarly when we know and believe God’s scriptures and His faithfulness we will have joy and gentleness in our life irrespective of the trials..
The Bible says “let that gentleness be made known to all men”, meaning that others will see us joyful in our difficult situations and wonder why we are so cool and peaceful. We are cool because we know the victory is certainly ours. We hold onto our peace and stand firm because God is the one who fights our battles.
Anxiety happens when you think you have to figure everything out. Turn to God. He has a plan!
