Leviticus 16:17-2—– No one shall be in the tent of meeting from the time he enters to make atonement in the sanctuary until he comes out and has made atonement for himself and for his house and for all the assembly of Israel. Then he shall go out to the altar that is before the Lord and make atonement on its behalf, and shall take some of the blood of the bull and of the blood of the goat, and put it on each of the horns of the altar. He shall sprinkle some of the blood on it with his finger seven times, and cleanse it and hallow it from the uncleanness’s of the people of Israel.
When he has finished atoning for the holy place and the tent of meeting and the altar, he shall present the live goat. Then Aaron shall lay both his hands on the head of the live goat, and confess over it all the iniquities of the people of Israel, and all their transgressions, all their sins, putting them on the head of the goat, and sending it away into the wilderness by means of someone designated for the task. The goat shall bear on itself all their iniquities to a barrenregion; andthe goat shall be set free in the wilderness.
God takes the sin of the whole world and puts that sin on His Son.
2 Corinthians 5:21—–For our sake He made Him to be sin who knew no sin, so that in Him we might become the righteousness of God.
Jesus bore our sin so that we are made the righteousness of God. He is the one who pleads to the Father for our forgiveness. He is the one who has paid the price for our sins so that we are made righteous with God. From Jesus, we get healing, deliverance, freedom and righteousness because of what He has done for us on the cross. But we have to confess our sins.
But we must repent and confess our sins to receive forgiveness. If we do not confess our sins, there is no forgiveness. Just like we use a cheque or an ATM card to get our money from our account, in the same way, we need to confess our sins to receive forgiveness.
Proper fellowship with God cannot happen with unconfessed sin in our lives. Therefore, we need to confess our sins to God as soon as we are aware that we have sinned, in order to maintain close fellowship with God.
GOD PROVED HIS LOVE ON THE CROSS. WHEN CHRIST HUNG, BLED AND DIED, IT WAS GOD SAYING TO THE WORLD,” I LOVE YOU”.
