Psalm 34:1-4 – I will bless the LORD at all times; His praise shall continually be in my mouth. My soul shall make its boast in the LORD; the humble shall hear of it, and be glad. Oh magnify the LORD with me, and let us exalt his name together. I sought the LORD, and he heard me, and delivered me from all my fears.
We live in a world where many people allow themselves to be limited by their fears of hurt, disappointment or criticism. From the above Scripture we learn that David praised God and then experienced release from his fears. Do not wait until you feel afraid but practice preventive action by praising God in all situations and at all times so you will not fear, or be discouraged.
It is through the power in the blood of Jesus that we are able to defeat Satan. When we are focussed on Jesus as the one who overcomes the world, we are given an increased sense of empowerment and courage. Praise God for His resurrection power gives us the power, love and self discipline to cast all of our anxieties upon the Lord. He will never let us down. He is the mighty God, the mighty shepherd, the one who is merciful, the one who pours his abundant grace. God’s Word says you have to magnify the Lord and those who hear him will be changed.
God’s promises should be magnified and the more we praise Him and glorify him we stand delivered from all fears.
Fear is Faulty Expectation and Assumption of Reality.
The devil will always give us false information, and expect us to magnify the negative things in our life. The devil will attempt to make us assume things which will lead us into misunderstandings. The thoughts of fear are weapons the devil uses to destroy people.
There is no fear in love. Bur perfect love casts our fear (1John 4:18). This perfect love is experienced by those who mediate on the Word of God. God has poured His love into each one’s heart through the Holy Spirit so that we can experience the love of Christ and be confident that the Lord cares for us.
God’s perfect love crushes fear, because in love there is no fear; because fear assumes punishment and whoever is afraid is not perfect in love. He is not free. He is always afraid that something painful or sad will happen.” – Pope Francis
