We must settle in our heart that the Word of God is the will of God for us.
Mark 1:40-42—– A man with leprosy came to him and begged him on his knees, “If you are willing, you can make me clean.”
Jesus was indignant. He reached out his hand and touched the man. “I am willing,” he said. “Be clean!” Immediately the leprosy left him and he was cleansed.
Jesus feels the anguish of this man afflicted with leprosy. So before he speaks healing into the man’s life, he does the unthinkable: he touches the leprous man. By Jewish law, Jesus makes himself unclean by touching the man. Yet Jesus wants to show the compassion He feels in a way this man would understand. Jesus spoke the words of healing only after He has connected to the man’s deepest emotional need and bridged the barrier that enforced this man’s isolation.
Mark 1:43-44 —– Jesus sent him away at once with a strong warning: “See that you don’t tell this to anyone. But go, show yourself to the priest and offer the sacrifices that Moses commanded for your cleansing, as a testimony to them.”
Jesus instructed the man to show himself to the priest and offer the prescribed gift as a witness of what Jesus had done. By showing himself to the priest, the healed leper fulfilled the requirement of the law as to his fitness to return to social life. A priest at that time could pass a judgement on lepers. Jesus wanted the man to be named clean by the priest.
If we have any hatred or unforgiveness in our heart it will have an effect on our body. Jesus tells this man you are not only healed but He wants this man to be made whole. We have to heal ourselves by changing our thinking and walking in unconditional love.
Jesus’ will is to heal a leaper and it is His will for us to be healed too. It is God’s will for us to be healthy, united and blessed.
We have to pursue God’s Word continually and we will see results.
GOD NEVER SENDS YOU INTO A SITUATION ALONE. GOD GOES BEFORE YOU. HE STANDS BESIDES YOU. HE WALKS BEHIND YOU. WHATEVER SITUATION YOU HAVE RIGHT NOW, BE CONFIDENT, GOD IS WITH YOU.
