2 Timothy 2:25-26
In meekness instructing those that oppose themselves; if God peradventure will give them repentance to the acknowledging of the truth; And that they may recover themselves out of the snare of the devil, who are taken captive by him at his will.
Let’s say a person is walking in love and I come against him, the moment I come against him I am already in the trap. When I come and do something against him, and he reacts negatively he is also in the trap.
Now for a mouse trap you put dry fish on the hook and with the smell the mouse comes to the trap. As long as the mouse comes in and goes out there’s no problem. However as soon as he bites the fish the trigger is loosed, the spring recoils and he is in the trap. And now we pour hot water on the mouse.
That’s exactly what the bible is saying by being ignorant we are trapped in the snare of satan. Now we get all those treatment which will cause more destruction in our life. So how many traps do we enter a day? What bait does satan have to put to get you into the trap?
While I was at the airport I was getting late to get my visa and I had to convert the currency. I was waiting in line and a police man harshly says, ‘why are you standing there stand here!’ When he said that a thought came to curse him, human nature, at once a thought comes do not get into the snare. Satan can use something as simple as that with a person whom you have never met before.
Every person goes through the snares, a snare is a trap, and a trap is laid to capture the prey. When the prey has been captured it was unaware of the snare. A snare by itself is powerless, a mouse can come all over the trap but if the mouse goes for the bait its stuck.
Then said he unto the disciples, It is impossible but that offences will come: but woe unto him, through whom they come!
If you are living on this planet earth there is no question, offenses will come. Today the question is not whether you will encounter the offense but what will you do when you encounter one?
