The Nature Of God Part – 1

Hebrews 8:10 —— For this is the Covenant that I will make with the House of Israel for after those days, says the Lord: I will put My Laws in their mind and write them on their hearts; and I will be their God; and they shall be My people.

We will see how very important it is for us to understand that God who loves us is looking for different ways to bring joy and peace in our lives. To do that He has given us His Word, His instructions in the Bible and God tells us that if we live by this Word our lives will be completely changed.

In the Old Testament, God spoke to His people through Moses. God made a covenant through Moses and established the law. He gave the law to the people. However the biggest hindrance in this law was that man did not have the ability to keep the Law.The people were not faithful and were not able to obey the Law. Along with the Law came the knowledge of sin.  Sin multiplied and that brought death and destruction.

So why did God give this law? It was to show that man could never with his own performance be able to have right standing with God. Because in man is the nature of sin which entered through Adam.

But through Jesus, came Grace and truth. God spoke through the prophets of the One to come, through whom a new covenant is made. It was none other than Jesus and through Him; by Grace we the people would be able to obey God.

Grace is God’s free gift and His enabling us to do anything good. Grace is always received through Faith, not earned by works.

So Grace is a divine power that comes from God; and comes through Jesus and His work for us. It is not something we have a right to. Jesus obtained it for us. We get it freely because of the obedience and death on the cross of Jesus!

Are you willing to embrace the Grace that Jesus brings into your life?

Never think that you can live to God by your own power or strength; but always look to and rely on Him for assistance, yes, for all strength and grace.
