John 16:13 —– However, when He, the Spirit of truth, has come, He will guide you into all truth; for He will not speak on His own authority, but whatever He hears He will speak; and He will tell you things to come.
I was talking to a doctor about Parkinson’s disease, and he explained that a certain chemical in our body aids our nerves and allows our movements to be fluid. When the chemical is not present the patient has Parkinson’s disease. This information helped me and now when I pray over someone who has Parkinson’s I know what to pray for. I did not know all the details of this fluid, but the doctor did, and for this information to be available research had to be conducted. The information and revelations revealed by the Holy Spirit makes research and understanding possible.
Who is the Holy Spirit and how exactly does He help us? Sometimes, we refer to the Holy Spirit as some nebulous spirit being that just hovers around to lead us this way and that. But Jesus is very clear: the Spirit is so much more. He is our real and necessary helper and advocate, sent to assist us in living the Christian life.
The Holy Spirit is the spirit of truth and guides us into all truth. There are many things that we believe in our life but it is not necessary that that is the truth. When we look in the scriptures we see that when God anointed Jesus with the Holy Spirit and power He attacked the sickness and destroyed it. We do not find Jesus healing anyone before receiving the anointing of the Holy Spirit.
Jesus fasted and prayed and overcame the temptation with the power of the Holy Spirit. The Bible says when Jesus came back, He came back with power. That same power and anointing of the Holy Spirit isgiven to us and we are meant to imitate Jesus. The Spirit of truth guides us through the scripture because now we have written evidence in the Bible. The Spirit of God will always speak of Jesus and lead us to Him; it will remind us of the scriptures and give us deeper insights from the Bible.
The Bible is a book of a hero called Jesus and the writer is the Holy Spirit.
Without the Spirit of God, we can do nothing. We are as ships without wind. We are useless.
